Tank Farm Sampling System
Representative samples from several levels of a storage tank where there is no fast loop and no power: a hand pump circulates product through a flow-thru sample valve and back to the tank, and a totaliser shows when the line is flushed.

Tank farms rarely have the fast loop that brings fresh product to a sample point in a process unit, and there is usually no power or other utilities at the tank. The SENSOR Tank Farm Sampling System (TFSS) solves this with a manual push/pull pump. The pump circulates product from the chosen tank level through the sample station and back into the tank, so the sample is representative and nothing goes to drain.
Samples are taken through the larger-ported flow-thru valve of the Basic Bottle Sampling System, into an open bottle or, where hazardous vapours are present, a closed-loop needle system that protects the operator.
Features
- For tanks with no existing fast loop, and no power needed
- Draws from multiple tank levels
- Larger-ported BBSS flow-thru sample valve for more viscous products and lines up to 3/4"
- Hand pump circulates the line back to the tank to give a representative sample
- Flow totaliser shows the volume circulated, so you know each level's line is flushed
- 316 SS standard; cast iron pump, aluminium totaliser
Specifications
- Maximum pressure: 50 psig (3.4 bar)
- Maximum temperature: 120°F (49°C)
